I've been sort of sporadically blogging this year, and only really in the last month or so I've began taking it more seriously and trying to be organised. I've enjoyed blogging so much more when I've planned out what I want to share and for 2018 I want to continue being organised and keep enjoying blogging! I don't want to bore you all with the nitty gritty of my planning life but I do want to clue you in to some things I'm hoping to achieve in the coming year with emmanovella! SCHEDULE
I tried to keep a regular posting schedule when I first began my blog but I just found it impossible to post a monthly wrap up or a book haul on a scheduled day when it didn't fall nicely with the end/start of the month. I also post reviews and often these are for ARCs and am often asked to review on publication day or am taking part in a blog tour and the dates I plan to post are already taken. Whilst I won't say 'Posts every xday', I do plan to post regularly. By regularly I mean at least once a week but it could be more - look at this month! I'm posting pretty much every day simply because I have my usual end and start of month posts but it's also the end and the beginning of a year! LAYOUT I don't think this really affects anyone but me, yet here I am. I try and keep posts of the same ilk looking the same - so reviews will have the synopsis centred and in bold and italics at the start or I'll use dividers or have sections titled and in bold and what not. However, I'm awful at being consistent between posts. I'll forget how I've styled a previous post and for whatever reason not bother to double check, or decide that I prefer it a different way and change it without updating older posts. ACHIEVEMENTS I've been lucky with my blog and even had the opportunity to chair an event which was equally incredible and terrifying. Even so, I would absolutely love the chance to do more! I want to push out of my comfort zone and continue working with authors and publishers for these experiences. It would also be a personal achievement to blurb a book. I don't even want it on the cover - I'd be happy with my quote in the middle of a list with loads of others at the start of the book that nobody reads! Technically this has happened in the Indian edition of Did I Mention I Love You? but I haven't been able to get my hands on it! I doubt this will happen in 2018 and is more of a longterm goal but hey, aim high, right? Anyway! Those are just a few of my blogging goals for the coming year. In a nutshell I guess I just really want to improve my site and keep adding people to my little bubble of book love and hopefully be able to take my passion into the real world to bookworms out there who have never heard of 'emmanovella'! Are any of you bloggers? Do you have any goals for next year or are you content and found your groove?
