Gosh, I don't want to think about how long it's been since I last posted.
Things have been crazy for me this last month and a bit but I have big plans to get myself back on track but before I dive right into the usual book posts I wanted to have a little catch up with you all!
Ah it's been so long! Apologies for disappearing for a week, things have been hectic and I was feeling a little uninspired. I was planning to post a review of 'The Hate U Give' but I wanted to make sure it's worded respectfully so I'm taking my time to make sure it comes across the way I intend!
The other day there I had a notion to go trawling through Charity Shops, particularly in search of Claire North's books 'The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August' and 'The Sudden Appearance of Hope' as well as keeping an eye out for others on my 'to buy' list (of which there are over 200 according to Goodreads.. oops!)
I'm a bit of a sheep when it comes to picking up books. I almost always buy the ones that everyone is talking about. However, I actually don't seem to have read a lot of the popular YA books out there. To be fair, some I own but haven't gotten around to yet, but some I just really don't have an excuse for; especially when you consider the fact that some of them sound like books I'll adore! I think my subconscious mind has heard these books so much it just assumed I'd read them - can I use that as an excuse? No... ok..
I originally planned to do a post on popular books in general but it was shamefully long so I've decided we'll start out with the series! First up:
April saw the return of my love of reading which had been gone for far too long to think about! I'm still nowhere near caught up with my schedule but I am making a teeny tiny dent into my TBR - who's growth has finally been stunted (for the most part!)
Whilst I'm still not reading as many books as I'd like considering my free time at the moment, I am really glad with what I'm reading and the fact I am enjoying it! This month I read 6 books and all of them were ones I really enjoyed! YAY!
