My birthday came and went with a fizzle more than a bang. I spent a good chunk of my day tidying and hoovering etc... yup.. adulthood.
As I am such a pernickety person people tend to leave me to buy my own books but my mum (having been given an extensive and very detailed list from myself) gave me four books for my birthday! Thus, today I have a small book haul for you but I'm excited none-the-less.
WAKE and TIDAL by Amanda Hocking
I saw book two of this series in a charity shop and bought it because that's what I do when I see a YA book in a charity shop - especially when they're American Hardbacks... So now I have book one and three and am only missing book 4. I've not a clue what this series is about but I have a feeling it's mermaids. Creepy mermaids, hopefully. Not the Ariel kind!
HEREAFTER by Tara Hudson
This was another case of book two in a series in the US hardback edition being discovered in a (the same) charity shop! I think this is a paranormal book but again I haven't a clue... I'm doing well.
PHOENIX by Eden Maguire
At last! A book I know something about... Lol no. A few months ago, I stumbled across a little thrift store in my village and picked up the first three books in a series by this author - as you can guess, this is book four. I think this is a ghosty/paranormal type book but once again, I do not know. Ah well!
I suppose I could count my Lonely Planet pocket guide to Paris as another book mum got me but I don't really want to have a larger paragraph detailing what it's about than my fiction novels so I'll leave it there.
One day I'll figure out how to end blog posts. Today is not that day...
