Hello everyone! Today's post is actually going to be the start of a little segment on this blog titled: "Did I Mention I Love..." where I will highlight a book or series I love, similar to a review but focused more on older books (books that have been out for more than a year) and they will be less detailed than your typical review; perhaps a recommendation is a better word! I will still post detailed reviews but they will on new releases, ARC's, or other books that publishers/authors have sent to me in exchange for a review! Phew, now that explanation is out of the way let's get on with the first ever Did I Mention I Love... ![]() You may have guessed that the title of this segment is borrowed from the wonderful 'Did I Mention I Love You?' trilogy by Estelle Maskame, and thus the first book I want to talk about is 'Did I Mention I Love You?', henceforth known as DIMILY. Estelle first began writing DIMILY when she was 13 and she posted it online, soon becoming a Wattpad sensation. I remember reading DIMILY when it was first written and wishing I could own actual copies of it. When Estelle self published them originally I tried begging my mum to buy them for me but she was having none of it. Eventually I just sort of forgot about the books until Estelle started to rewrite them and before I knew it I was back in love with Tyler and Eden and then the stories were removed from Wattpad. Then, at 17 she got her book deal and now is a bestselling author with her fourth book being published this summer. She's not even out of her teens yet. Forever envious but always proud. In fact, I am a little biased when I recommend DIMILY as Estelle and I are now friends after meeting up about two years ago(?!) when she was in Edinburgh (and then going to the Dungeons which was an experience I don't think we will ever repeat hahah) and now whenever she is in town to work at the publishing house we meet up for our standard TGI Friday's dinner dates; mozzarella dippers and chicken fingers please! DIMILY is a YA Contemporary/Romance novel all about Eden Munro who goes to spend the summer with her estranged father (who is the biggest asshole ever. Fuck Dave) and falls in love with her stepbrother, Tyler Bruce, who is a bit of a bad boy! The book is full of drama (fucking Tiffani!!!!), twists and turns, and just... my fave. It's the perfect beach read, quick read, feel good, get out of a slump, book. It's one that I'm forever thinking of - I mean, I went to NYC and was just thinking about the second book in the trilogy which is set there! - and I own 3 copies of each book in the trilogy. Wait, I own 4 of the first one as I bought the original US edition... I'm a collector.. sorry. If you're a fan of Jennifer Niven, Sarah Dessen, John Green, Jenn Bennet or anyone of that ilk you will love Estelle Maskame. Her next book, Dare to Fall is being released on July 27th and it sounds amazing (and that cover is GORGEOUS), although it feels weird to think of Estelle writing about people other than Tyden! I'm currently working out a schedule to post on here, I'm thinking Tuesday and Friday (although everything is a little chaotic right now so nothing is to schedule. Bare with me!) #noterindas -Emma
