Either I'm forgetful and blind or SOMEHOW I HAVEN'T POSTED A REVIEW FOR HARLEY IN THE SKY YET??
For all I've talked about this book I've managed to just... not actually review it. Which is great. Or maybe I have but I'm doing it again.
Harley in the Sky is Akemi Dawn Bowman's third novel. In it, we follow Harley who's parents own Vegas' biggest circus but they won't let their daughter perform despite her being a talented aerialist. When the opportunity arises for her to join a rival, travelling, circus, she takes it and we follow her journey across America, training and also struggling with her decision.
We see some awesome mental health rep in Akemi's books and this one is no different. I love that the story isn't all about that either. It's great to have books that are solely focused on those topics but it's also refreshing to have it just be part of a character without it being everything about them.
This book was an instant 5 star for me when I got to read an early copy and on release day I bought a finished copy and then went and got a tattoo to celebrate!
PLEASE go pick up a copy!!
