No, your eyes aren't deceiving you - I am no longer booklycat.weebly but simply booklycat! That's right - I bought my own domain name. I want to take blogging more seriously and I am very proud of the work I put in to making this site what it is but it was lacking in some professionalism, so I spent a few months debating over wether or not to take the plunge but I figured I have nothing to lose and perhaps this will give me a boost and help to keep on track and figure out a schedule. Currently I am trying to hold to my Tuesday and Friday posting schedule (clearly this is a hypocritical post since it's Wednesday but hey - it's extra, and I couldn't just not address this exciting change for three days!!) but I have a few ideas for how I want to run this. First of all, I'm working out wether I should have specific posts on specific days, such as tags or Top 5/10 lists on Tuesdays and Reviews on Fridays or what not - if you have a preference please let me know in the comments below!
I have also thought about monthly posts; things like wrap-ups, hauls, TBRs and anticipated new releases occur very close to each other as they are at the start and end of the month and my OwlCrate unboxings (which I'm yet to do on this blog - sorry, I'm a tad lazy when it comes to photography!) only happen once a month so I've thought about doing my Wrap-Up in the first week of the month - so July's wrap-up would be posted in August -, my OwlCrate either the second or third week depending on when it arrives and my Haul at the end? That leaves me a week in the middle for just my two scheduled Tuesday/Friday posts. I'll play about with scheduling before deciding what I want to do but as above any input on your preferences would be great! I've also been contemplating restarting my booktube channel part-time. Recording and editing videos takes time and I'm awful at voicing my opinions which makes blogging so much easier for me so I would use the channel for vlogs and possibly my OwlCrate unboxings and things along those lines whilst leaving wordy, thought-based topics for here. I would of course still share my unboxings and event experiences here but I would keep it brief and then share the videos on the post too. My youtube channel is linked here so you can go have a look at my old content if you'd like! I hope you're all as excited as I am about booklycat's next adventure as it's own website and enjoy your time on the blog with me!
